Tom Grace

A Boston native, Tom Grace (b. 1976) persued an education in the health sciences and experience in information technology. He began cultivating his interest in type through work and instruction in visual design and illustration. His formal education in designing type comes from the Rhode Island School of Design and the University of Reading, where he received his MA in typeface design.

His areas of particular interest are font technology and development, as well as multiple-script type design. At Typofonderie, between 2005 and 2009 he was specialised in font production. He works now as freelance type designer.
