Croatian design 1516: Jean François Porchez international guest

The biennial exhibition of Croatian Design 1516 is overview of the best Croatian design production in the past two years. The ninth edition of the exhibition is organized by Croatian Designers Society since 1999. The jury include this year Iva Babaja, Andrej Filetin, Marko Golub, Silva Kalčić, George Korac, Mladen Orešić and Koraljka Vlajo, Osko + Deichmann (Blasius Osko and Oliver Deichmann) as well as Jean François Porchez who will select the best Croatian design and will deliver the Croatian Designers Society Grand Prix.

As godfather of modern French typography, Jean Francois Porchez will deliver a talk about his experiences and nuggets of typographic wisdom in designing custom typefaces for some of the world’s most recognizable brands: Le Monde, the Paris Metro, Louis Vuitton, Galleries Lafayette, Sephora, YSL Beauté, The Boston Consulting Group and Nespresso – just to name a few. In addition, the founder of the TypeParis 5-week Typeface Design summer course, will be holding two days introductory typeface design workshop.
