Xavier Dupré has been sharing his time between Europe and Southeast Asia since 2001. These days he feels more comfortable with the Phnom Penh style of living. He studied Graphic Design in Paris as well as Calligraphy and Typography at the Scriptorium de Toulouse. At the dawn of the new century he worked as a type designer in Paris. Since then he has designed Latin & Khmer typefaces for NGOs in Cambodia. Beyond Typofonderie, you can also find a number of his sublime typefaces at FontFont and Emigre. Many of his designs have received awards from the Type Directors Club of New York and are regularly featured in typography blogs.
Xavier’s lifestyle and work ethic could be described as laid back and relaxed, with few constraints. He is a frequent swimmer and yoga aficionado.
