We propose various upgrade options of your old font versions purchased here. Contact us with details of your original purchase to take advantage of theses upgrades. Before to take any decision, be sure about the difference between STD fonts and PRO fonts versions. Meanwhile, you can download a back up copy of your fonts bought from September 2022 for a year following your initial purchase directly from your user account.
Note about upgrades
From the launch of this website, a new licensing model is launched based on a fully different pricing system. More you add to the shopping cart, more the price by unit will reduce.
Now, minimal licenses start for one font for one user. We no longer sell our fonts in the form of families and collections. That’s why we could not keep access to your purchases before September 2022 (launch date of our current website) on your account. To buy new fonts, it’s up to you to create a new account with us.
Right after your purchase, the fonts will be available on your account/library all together by family.
From that page, you can select the option complete the family. A simple clic will add all missing fonts from your uncomplete family to a new shopping cart for a very competitive price.
Upgrades from OpenType Ptf to OpenType Pro
An update from an OpenType Ptf version1 to an OpenType Pro version is available with 80% discount for the OpenType Pro purchase. This apply for matching weights available.
OpenType Ptf versions available until January 2012 are similar to OpenType Pro fonts. ↩
PostScript type 1 fonts, equivalent to our current Opentype Std fonts, are not available anymore from the 4th April 2008 at Typofonderie (see Phasing out “PostScript” Type 1 fonts). Such fonts do not qualify for any upgrades. Note that PostScript Type 1 fonts, which are equivalent to Std fonts in terms of number of glyphs and language support, can be used via your Adobe Creative Cloud account.
An update from an OpenType Pro version to an OpenType Std version is available with 50% discount for the OpenType Std purchase. This apply for matching weights available.
It’s not possible upgrade from the Std fonts purchased through a distributor to our Std font versions. Sometimes we can find a solution, but there is nothing automatic. Our official font distributors only distribute a selection of Std Desktop licenses. Please contact us with your questions.
For your information, the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription does not allow you to install web fonts in Self-hosted, either App, or Epub, or Server. If you cancel your Adobe subscription, you will lose the use of the fonts you had used in your designs. Similarly, your customers will have to purchase a license from us to install the fonts you recommended on their machines. ↩
