Organized by Typographic Society Munich (TGM), the second Editorial Design Conference held in Munich, Germany from the 28 February to 3 March 2014. Jean François Porchez is invited to join a large panel of speakers from all over the world. Under the title, Typefaces as voice of branding and publications he will present various typefaces projects.

The Herb Lubalin Lecture Series regularly organize events. The lectures thematically follow various areas of the typography spectrum. Because of the coming of Jean François Porchez along his students from “ECV for a second typographic tour of New York, Alexander Tochilovsky & Cara Di Edwardo invited him to gives a talk about his recent typefaces projects.
Adobe FDK workshop at Typofonderie, 11-13 March 2014
The purpose of the workshop which will be held for the second time in France is to provide professional high-level training dedicated to the production of fonts with the Adobe FDK. The goal of the Adobe Font Development Kit for OpenType is to offer tools created and developed by the team in charge of typography at Adobe. These tools can produce OpenType fonts (and in some cases TrueType) of high quality, adding OpenType features beyond what some software typeface design can propose.

Anisette Pro: Reveal your typographic expertise
The Anisette germinated in the mind of Jean François Porchez around 1995, just after his work on Le Monde typefaces. The original idea was to try tools in different ways, such as Illustrator. Closely monitored by Jean François Porchez, the project has slowly progressed throughout the year 2012 at Typofonderie. The result is a renovated Anisette Pro in 9 styles, that includes many alternates easy to use in common applications.
