As part of the publication of the monograph on the work of Jean François Porchez published by Atelier Perrousseaux éditeur, the design bookshop Artazart is organizing a launch party in presence of the designer and two of the four contributors to the book, Muriel Paris and Aaron Levin.
The flea market Typo 2014 (Puces Typo 2014) is an event organised by the Rencontres internationales de Lure and Campus de La Fonderie de l’Image in Paris. A good place to meet lots of local typophiles, graphic designers and so on. We are happy to participate again this year and to join a bunch of independent publishers, foundries, designers who will propose surprises and bargains for all tastes and all budgets.
While stimulation and promotion are now an integral part of type design distribution, typefoundries are experiencing a real boom. After the first digital revolution started during the 80-90s, it is now the challenge of web typography and embedded typography (ebooks, applications) that foundries have to face. To present these two approaches, Raphaël Bastide and Jean François Porchez are invited by the Rencontres internationales de Lure to confront their experience.
Organized by Typographic Society Munich (TGM), the second Editorial Design Conference held in Munich, Germany from the 28 February to 3 March 2014. Jean François Porchez is invited to join a large panel of speakers from all over the world. To push the creative team of Futurebrand Paris, the design agency just launched the Knock Knock session. The first speaker was Jean François Porchez, who came to talk about the role of typography in branding and communication. The Futurebrand team was enthusiastic following the two hours spent together.
Jean François Porchez will be joining Pinar and Viola, Broken Headlines, Morag Myerscough + Luke Morgan, Raw Color, Team Thursday and Alex Quinto for a symposium with visiting international artists held at Otis College. Jean François will present recent projects made at ZeCraft along the result of the Otis type design workshop.
The École de Communication Visuelle (ECV) has invited Jean François Porchez to speak about Typofonderie and ZeCraft recent projects. Jean François is in charge of the Typography master launched in 2012 at ECV. The lecture will be held in the same place as the TDC59 exhibition that is also being organized by ECV.

This year the Printemps de la Typo celebrates the 20th anniversary of the DSAA Typographic Design course from école Estienne. Among the invited speakers, Typofonderie team member Mathieu Réguer will talk about his collaboration with Atelier Muesli.
